Back to School

Jace's first day of 3rd grade was great, he said. He likes his teacher, they got to play getting to know you games, had chicken nuggets for lunch with white milk and other good stuff. (He always picks the white milk over the chocolate, can you believe that?)


He knows a lot of the kids in his class, even though his good friends, Addie and Dalton (pictured below) are each in separate classrooms.



On the bus, he sat with Dalton one way and Addie the other way. At recess, he didn't really play with anyone. But he noticed a tree that was growing with the fence inside of it. He was fascinated by this. Tomorrow they will get the soccer balls out, and that's what he will be playing.

Lance is having a blast watching Jace be silly with his friends while they wait for the bus on their first day of school. Notice the backpacks lined up neatly in a row. This defines who got to the bus stop first, a routine that began last year.

I think it's going to be a great year!
