Like You

It was evening and we were bustling about with the regular chaos that goes on with more than one kid, when I realized that I hadn't heard or seen Kyle for a bit of time.  I did a quick check in all the bathrooms, downstairs, bedrooms, even my closet!  (I'm hiding some Christmas gifts in there).
I finally found him quietly curled up with a book on the love seat in our front room.  I gave him a hug and told him I was looking for him and was happy to see him reading a book.  He said, "I can't read it."  And then he took my face into both of his hands, looked me sincerely in the eyes, and said intently,
"I want to turn into you."

It was the sweetest moment.  All he really meant was, "I want to know how to read like you," but I will not forget this time when my youngest boy cradled my face in his hands and told me from the bottom of his sincere heart that he wants to be like me.
