Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Verusca Meet Cami

She must have been really happy to see these guys! They have been wanting to come see her for a while but have been really busy. My brother, Jimmy, is opening 3 new stores - he is the owner of "Tricked Out Accessories". Have you seen them in the mall? Jimmy keeps us well equipped and stylin' with our cell phone accessories!
Anyway, they had a great time getting acquainted.

Good One, Uncle Jimmy!

5 Weeks

Jace and Cami are gaining a wonderful bond. At 5 weeks, Cami is continuing to eat well, burp successfully (even while she's nursing sometimes!), and respond with great smiles. I have to share this, even if it embarrasses her later...

Today, she had a huge particle in her nostril, and I worked it out gently. Right after I got it out, she immediately gave me the BiGGEST, BRIGHTEST smile! It was hilarious!

Lance-isms

I was surface cleaning the 'fridge, and as I threw away a baby shower invitation, Lance ran over to the garbage and, looking at it, scolded, "Mom! That is Beee-U-teeful!" He couldn't believe that I would do such a thing. It was a really cute invitation, by the way... Maybe next time I'll give it to Lance for his collections.

Today, Lance came running to me to show me the word he wrote on a popsicle stick (these sticks are Lance's favorite pastime). It was actually the first word I have ever seen him write on his own besides his name. I could have thought of many other two letter words that would have been great, but his first word he wrote is: "NO". I praised him anyway... Now we're learning how to write, "YES". Let's focus on the positive!

Last night at the dinner table, Lance was saying a beautiful prayer. Then he said, "... and please bless the chocolate that it will not have sugar in it... " Jared and I did our best to stifle our laughs.

Sweet

I just want to get these down before they're lost from my memory:

Jace and Lance really can be quite sensitive.

When Jace came to visit us in the hospital just after I had Cami, he came up to me and touched my arm as he asked intently, "Mom, did it hurt?"

Back at preschool, just after getting his new baby sister, Lance's preschool teacher asked him how his baby sister is doing. He said, "She's beautiful."
