Grandma's obituary


Frances Schauerhamer "Loving Mother" Frances Marie Fox Schauerhamer, age 85, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and joined her eternal sweetheart, Walter, on January 31, 2008.She was born April 6th, 1922 in Eureka, Utah to Edward and Violet Fox, the youngest of nine children. Frances enjoyed life to the fullest, and always took the time to stop and enjoy her surroundings. She took joy in every second and in every breath. She had a curiosity of life, loved to learn, and was known as the "Energizer Bunny" because she would just keep going and going. Her biggest joy in life was to be in the company of family and friends. Frances married Walter Schauerhamer August 15th, 1942 in Reno, Nevada. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Walter died May 12, 2007. She met Walt while roller-skating one night in Eureka. From that point on, her sole career was raising her family, at which they will all attest she did a perfect job. Frances served in many callings in the church including Relief Society President, Ward Librarian, and Temple worker. Frances and Walt served as missionaries in the Liberty Stake and Welfare Bakery. Frances is survived by her six children: Lynda Leckie (Lon), Dawna Moore (Joseph), Steven (Sue), Judy Martin (Chesley), Karen Nicholson (Mike), and Michael (Penny). Walter and Frances were blessed with 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grand-children. It was rewarding for her family to care for her in the final years of her life. Funeral services will be held on Mon. February 4, 2008 at Noon at the Parley's Stake Center, 1870 E. Parley's Canyon Blvd. Friends and family may visit on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S. 6-8 p.m., and Monday at the church 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S, Sandy.
